Avenues of Service

Rotary International (RI) is the largest service organization in the world. Founded in Chicago, Illinois in 1905, RI has expanded to more than 33,000 clubs in over 160 countries. Traditionally, club organizations have been based on a structure of four avenues of service (or directories): Community Service, Club Service, International Service, and Vocational Service. This structure channeled each club’s activities and resources in meeting its service and fellowship goals.

Recently, clubs have been encouraged to consider other organizational structures, and West Olympia Rotary acted to modify its organization from the traditional structure. West Olympia Rotary now has the following directories through which its projects and investments are managed: Community Service, Club Service, International Service, Member Services, and Fund Raising Services. Use pull down menu below "Avenues of Service" tab above to access more information.
